The pope and the theory of evolution
The words of former Pope Benedict XVI that "the theory of evolution and the big bang do not contradict the biblical description" have further plunged the Roman Catholic Church into deviant extra-biblical teachings. This is another attack by the church on the Bible that not everyone recognizes.
What the Church has gained from the words of Pope Benedict XVI:
1. To gain new followers who disagreed with the biblical creation of the world. In this twisted way, it will be possible to reconcile the theory of evolution with the Bible, which openly exclude each other, but thanks to these words many will believe that this is not the case. This is identical to the situation the church went through during the time of Rome. At that time, the teachings of Jesus Christ were changed, additionally modified pagan beliefs were introduced in order to win over the rest of society and distinguish themselves from the Jews.
Among other things, in these dark times for Christianity were created and continue to this day, for example: prayer for the dead, the abolition of the Sabbath in favor of Sunday, the change of the 10 Commandments, indulgences, Marian devotion, confession, the position of the Pope, the title of the Pope as Holy Father although only God has such status, and many other unbiblical teachings that today are accepted by a whole lot of people as true because the church preaches so and the church is based on culture. Read the Scriptures and you will learn how God strongly opposed the introduction of pagan teachings into the faith of Israel, which was the cause of their fall. The Creator was and is firmly against making concessions in the realm of faith and teachings that He left to us. God has chosen quality over quantity every time.
2. Diminishing the importance of Scripture in favor of exalting the church. In doing so, the church once again claims to be the one who is infallible and knows better than God how the world was created. Claiming that the world did not come into existence as depicted in the Bible is tantamount to claiming that God is a liar.
3. Exalting the church above God. If we recognize that the Bible does not describe the truth, it means that we can thus undermine every word that is written on its pages. The word of man is then placed above the word of God. It is the church that decides what is truth, not God.
Read the Scriptures and don't blindly believe what others say or write, you will then see how many unbiblical teachings are now recognized as God's teachings.
