Biblical Creation of the World
day two

Genesis 1.6-8

King James Version "And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day."

New International Version "And God said, Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water. So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault “sky. And there was evening, and there was morning-the second day."

On the first day, the Earth was completely flooded with water, but from the description it can be inferred that not all the water was in a liquid state, perhaps a good part of it was in the form of steam and/or ice. This, in turn, would indicate why the first humans lived so long, and why life expectancy dropped dramatically after the Flood.

It is supposed that the upper vault may have consisted of clouds and water mantle present there in the form of water vapor or chunks of ice. There is nothing unusual about this; one only has to look, for example, at the planetary rings of Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus or Neptune to understand that the persistence of ice above a planet is natural. However, you don't have to look that far, the Meissner effect explains a lot.

Ice over planet protected from harmful radiation

The ice kept above the ground stopped harmful solar rays, i.e. X, UV and gamma rays, so there was more oxygen and pressure on the ground, and this increased the health and vitality of living beings and the plant world. Today, hyperbaric chambers are successfully used in medical treatment. The conditions that prevailed before the Flood indicate that a life expectancy of 900 years is not a biblical fairy tale, but something real. Let's also remember that these people did not eat as unhealthily as today's society. God also shortened the number of days of human life because mankind constantly sinned.

The Bible is complimentary in many places. In Genesis 7.11-12 we read "In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights." Were the downpours of heaven over the earth the natural water protection of the earth, which was destroyed during the Flood?

Also the Book of Job speaks of large quantities of water, 38.22-23 "Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?" although in this case there is no mention of a mantle of water over the earth the thought arises that since the verse speaks of storehouses of hail it is all the more possible that God could have created a vault over planet earth in the form of water vapor or chunks of ice.
